Our Walking Mirror

For the record, it's been a year! Today's Zachary's 2nd birthday. Much (much!) has happened in between but details can come later.

By coincidence, we landed at Globetrotter's again. We first went there on his 1st birthday.
I'm impressed again children learn what we as parents do, and how we relate to them.
Z took to the kitchen set in the corner of the playroom, and went about cooking as he's seen me do while I've been home on maternity leave. We've also had some trying times the weeks leading up to his 2nd birthday; both K and I thought the T2 hormones (Terrible Twos! or Terrific Twos?) have kicked in. But we've come to realise, Z was a walking mirror of our temper and impatience towards him. We're humbled by God's lesson through this little walking mirror.

We started the day at the docs. Zach had a pneumococcal jab; Emma (yes in between the last blog and this, our daughter was born and is now 3 months old) needed a check up for her cough. Thank God we didn't have to bring the nebuliser back anymore. We've had it for slightly over a week for both Z and E's use.

Had lunch at Globetrotters and went to Toys R Us to shop for his birthday gift. K and I debated over different toys and we eventually agreed on Play-Doh, complete with a kitchen set. So he can "cook cook" just like MaMa!

He's overstretched. Missed his afternoon nap and has been asleep since we got home at 5-ish.

"Sleep, my child, and rest assured be, all through the night....."
